THE FILMS OF SAINT-ORLAN

 

On Wednesday 21 September, starting 6 p.m., in the Auditorium Hall of the National Art Museum of Romania (MNAR), we are pleased to invite you to a meeting with French artist ORLAN. The event is occasioned by the launch of the book LES FILMS DE SAINTE-ORLAN (THE FILMS OF SAINT-ORLAN), edited by the Intact Cultural Foundation in Cluj-Napoca.

With a world-renowned career in the field of corporeal art, ORLAN opened at Centrul de Interes Cluj-Napoca, in 2021, the exhibition LES FILMS DE SAINTE-ORLAN. The project was signed by SPAȚIU INTACT.

The artist’s creations inspired by the world of cinema, exhibited on this occasion, will be presented by the artist herself, together with Florin Ștefan – director of the Intact Cultural Foundation, initiator and creative producer of this project, as well as the coordinator of the volume, Horea Avram – curator of the Cluj exhibition and coordinator of the volume, and the other authors who contributed to its materialization: Bogdan Ghiu – writer, Laura Ilea – writer and Raluca Oancea – art historian and curator.

Guests: Her Excellency Mrs. Laurence Auer, Ambassador of the French Republic in Bucharest; Ovidiu Cîmpean, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Investments and European Projects; Julien Chiaponne-Lucchesi, director of the French Institute in Romania.

The event will be hosted by Călin Stegerean, the general director of MNAR.

LES FILMS DE SAINTE-ORLAN was published with the support of the Cluj-Napoca City Hall, Banca Transilvania, Weberbau, Distral and the French Institute in Romania, and will be available on this occasion.
