Walter Schnepel has been collecting since the 1960s and during the years has amassed a significant body of Fluxus art. Fluxus is known as the most radical and experimental art movement of the sixties.
The selection on view at Spaţiu Intact includes 24 artworks; further on the whole collection will be on view at the Ludwig Museum, Budapest in 2017. Schnepel’s collection grew significantly in numbers (it includes now more than 2000 items) and importance, while shaping itself in terms of theme from the first few artworks.
The curated selection on view represents a unique opportunity for the Romanian public to gain an insight into the mind and personal space of a real collector whose professional and personal life intertwined for decades to reflect his passion.Spațiu Intact is a member of The Paintbrush Factory Galleries and Artists Federation.
